Lands' End, the American clothing company, began its life in 1963 as sailboat equipment company in Chicago, Illinois. The company has gone various management and ownership changes, but still maintains a very loyal customer base who turn to the company for its staples. Amongst those staples is the company's long sleeve Supima cotton polo shirt. We recently had the chance to review it.
Made from Supima - super pima cotton - the shirt has a very soft, yet durable feel. It is neither too thin, nor too thick. The shirt also includes a collar stand for the collar, so the collar can hold its own under a sport coat or jacket. We don't know of any other polo shirt that includes such a collar stand. The shirt comes in a variety of sizes and colors. The shirt is soft and feels great against the skin. We can't stop wearing it.
Having had our hands on it for a few weeks, it has stood being washed a few times. It may be the perfect shirt for the weekend or when something casual is more appropriate. We wish we had a few more of these shirts.
