INTRODUCING: Pelle Morbida // Brief Bag Review

Pelle Morbida is a Japanese leather goods manufacturer. The company has a unique casual lifestyle approach to its products. We recently had the chance to review its "Brief Bag."

True to its laid back approach, one based on vacations spent aboard cruise ships, the bag comes with a whistle. The bag is made in a rich grainy leather which gives the leather resilience. The handles are sturdy and strong and feel as if they could last for a very long time.

It is an extremely handsome bag. In our travels, the bag attracted more than a few compliments. Beauty aside, the bag is a practical briefcase and can accommodate its fair share of documents, writing utensils, and a small laptop, or an iPad. This bag, however, is not for those that want to pack their entire desk with them.

The bag is made from high quality leather, which is matched by its high quality stitching and careful attention to detail, that is the hallmark of many Japanese products. The handle are attached with sturdy stitching and metal zippers and buckles that compliment the nature of the bag. They did not take any short cuts here.

The interior of the bag is draped in very soft suede, which almost makes you afraid of putting anything in there lest it scratch or stain the bag.

In our experience, this has been an extremely high quality bag, true to the best of Japanese design and construction. While black may lend itself more towards men, the bag comes in other colours that would also work for women.  We recommend it fully.
