For those of us that travel and spend a lot of time in airplanes, finding travel friendly clothing can be challenging. We've all seen travelers in sweatpants or pajamas taking casual to an extreme. And while jeans are comfortable, over extended periods of time, especially on an airplane, they can become stiff and uncomfortable. Recognizing this problem, we began our search for a jeans alternative that was more comfortable but still a pair of pants. With that in mind, we recently tried out Mission Workshops's Division Chino, and Lululemon's ABC pants.

Based in Hong Kong, he is one of the finest examples of the extraordinary quality of bespoke Japanese shoes. Mr. Okuyama's shoes have an understated elegance that draws in the eye and forces us to stare and admire the shoes. The lasts pay careful attention to curves and balance out the shoe such that it remains understated while also appearing refined. Mr. Okuyama is in Los Angeles, CA for American clients so if you can't make it to Hong Kong, visit sunny LA. The wait for a finished product these days is between 6 to 10 months. As we continue to delve deeper into our series  on Japanese shoemakers, we now introduce you to Benchmade shoes and its master shoemaker Yukiko Basset Okawa san. Based in Tokyo, Benchmade is perhaps the only master mens' shoemaker who also happens to be a woman. It takes about five months to get a finished pair of shoes and you have to be in Tokyo. British shoes handmade in Northampton, UK with careful attention and craft have become a staple of men's wardrobe the world over. However, if you don't happen to be in the UK, a good pair of English shoes can be difficult to find online. Herring shoes established in 1966 has taken a leading role retailing classic English brands including: Church's, Loake, Alfred Sargent, Barker, Jeffrey West, Cheaney, Tricker's, and Sebago (an Italian brand we know). Founded in 1970, Bresciani has made its name for its high-end, luxurious socks. The company was founded by Mario Bresciani in Mantova, Italy.  Bresciani is now known for its attention to detail, including using the finest selection of natural yarns, cotton, wool, cashmere, hemp, silk, and linen. All the socks are hand linked. The socks today are 100% made in Italy in the company's factory in Spirano, Bergamo.
